Bendigo Health

Bendigo Health is proud to partner with the Bendigo Pride Festival 2020. As an organisation with more than 4000 staff we have an internal program to promote diversity and inclusivity and appreciate the contribution of the LGBTIQ+ community in helping us to improve both as an employer and as a health care provider. With a Vision of Excellent Care. Every Person. Every Time. Bendigo Health is committed to every person who seeks our service to feel safe and comfortable.

Raising awareness around the need for inclusivity and understanding for our LGBTIQ+ community is key to providing the best health care we can within a community that we all call our home. This place, where we value our freedom to live, learn, work, and play must be safe and supportive to all people so they can thrive and reach their full potential. The Pride festival is an important platform to deliver a message of diversity, compassion and respect and Bendigo Health will continue to partner with the LGBTIQ+ community for a positive future for all.

CVGT Australia

CVGT Australia has spent more than 30 years delivering positive economic and social benefits to their clients and the communities in which they operate. An outcome-focused employment services provider, CVGT Australia has generously sponsored the Bendigo PRIDE Festival to support the work we are doing in empowering members of the LGBTI+ community to engage with their wider-community in Bendigo.

Monash University Rural Health supports the festival as we recognise and celebrate a rich diversity of our community, including our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) students and staff. We want to ensure that all experiences at Monash, and the community, is one of being included, safe, respected, and supported.

The Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health are proud to sponsor the Bendigo Pride Festival. Equity in sexual health for the LGBTQIA+ communities is a priority focus for CERSH. We collaborate with local organisations and stakeholders to create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces. By celebrating diversity and inclusivity at the 2020 Festival, we hope to foster ongoing relationships and participation in the community.

Country life can be both rich and rewarding for LGBTI people, with many communities embracing and celebrating diversity. However, for some LGBTI people and people living with HIV (PLHIV), rural, regional and remote areas can mean being at higher risk of stigma and discrimination.
Thorne Harbour Country aims to celebrate and support the many communities and community initiatives that embrace and support LGBTI people and PLHIV whilst also responding to the identified barriers, working towards a more supportive and safe space for all.
